Your tour guide will meet you at the hotel. Leave Bucharest for Sinaia - one of the famous Carpathian towns. Named after St. Catherine Monastery on Mount Sinai, Sinaia became the unofficial capital of the Kingdom of Romania towards the end of the 19th century. Day 1: Bucharest to Bucovina
Morning pick up by your English speaking tour guide at your hotel in Bucharest. Drive north to Bucovina passing through the vineyards of Vrancea and the countryside of Moldova. Later in the afternoon in the town of Campulung enjoy an exclusively organized egg-painting demonstration by a local artist in her home, this being one of the local traditions of the area. You also will have the chance to admire painted eggs from all over the world in an unique private collection. Then enjoy a home hosted dinner in the same village, an authentic cultural interchange and oportunity to learn about the locals' lifes. 2023 THE BLACK SEA & THE DANUBE DELTA EXTENSION (PRE- OR POST- TOUR)
Day 1: Bucharest - Constanta - Tulcea (Danube Delta) NOT ON A MONDAY
Early morning departure to Constanta, the largest sea port on the Black Sea. A city of 330,000 people and the Black Sea's largest port, Constanta was established in the 4th century BC as a Greek colony. The drive from Bucharest will take approximately three hours, crossing the Danube into the region of Dobrogea and driving along the (in)famous Danube-Black Sea Canal. The city tour of Constanta will take you to the Secession Casino and the Genoese Lighthouse. Later tour the Archeology Section featuring the fabulous Glykon Serpent and thewonderfully restored the Roman Mosaic - one of the largest in this part of Europe. In the afternoon drive to Mamaia - Romania's largest sea resort, established by King Charles of Romania in the second half of the 19th century and then continue north to the town of Tulcea located right at the entrance to the Danube Delta. Hotel check in. Dinner on your own.

Day 2: Danube Delta Private Cruise - Bucharest
After breakfast, embark a small ship for a four to five hour private cruise into the Danube Delta. Start your cruise on the Tulcea Canal then off to Nebunu Lake through the narrow canals. A great opportunity for bird watching and to admire nature. The tour will be led by a Danube Delta specialist tour guide. Enjoy a light lunch aboard ship. Return toTulcea around 2:30 pm. Drive to back to Bucharest. Arrive around 6 pm. Hotel check in. The rest of the evening is at leisure.
